Minis in stores without pictures

#1
And my feeble attempts at google have only shown me a couple of them posted elsewhere.  Any chance of taking a peek at those ships before I order some?

Welcome to the forum! Now, which ships do you need to see photos of, as most have photos already in our online store...?

All the missing ones, really, I don't want to miss out on any cool minis. So, a few I'd want to check out are the blizzard, cetshwayo, dracula, dragonfly, falcon dn, hayabusa, hornet, lance electra, and nautilus, and that's not really an exhaustive list. You guys have snazzy minis is what.

Well, I admit my raging bias here in agreeing with you that the Silent Death minis are snazzy indeed.  Big Grin

The metal Blizzard and Lance Electra look essentially the same as their plastic counterparts; differences in appearance have to do with the differences between spin casting metal and injection moulded plastic. We'll have shots of the metal Core Ships available in the near future, however I freely admit that there's a raging debate of sorts as to whether or not to keep them, as the plastic Core Ship sprue minis really are rather sharper in their rendering, their masters having been crafted by more precise technology than the traditional hand sculpted versions for metal casting. Undecided

We do understand and I for one as an old grognard can appreciate that some folk prefer metal to plastic minis, so for now the metal Core Ships will remain among us...

As for the others, I can at least start by providing a shot if a bit old of a painted Nautilus I alas no longer possess, while the others are all on my painting table at the moment, as crazy as that is, along with shots of a Cetshwayo a bit rough but with new pix to follow once I finish powering through my current painting tray queue that includes multiple Nautilus, Hayabusa, Dragonflys, a pair of Hornets, the Falcon class ECM/EW frigate used by the UNW, and other assorted madness...

Good to know, I'm not sure where to take a look at the newer plastic models, is there a shapeways store link I'm missing somewhere? I will keep an eye out for updates to the store, and the forum, thanks for your quick replies!

The plastic Core Ships come twelve to a sprue, one of each of the twelve different Core Ships, and are in the online store right here:

Plastic Core Ships

Regarding Shapeways, frankly, if I had the technical skill set of 3D design, there'd have a been a bit of a flood of new ship minis already, everything from logistical craft from the Campaign System to new fighters, gunboats, and Warhounds (escort vessels).

For now, we are forced to rely upon our own current skill sets, and those of the dedicted fans who have thus far contributed their skills in gratis to our continuing efforts to try and keep this classic game alive and moving to the next level.

We're glad you found us, and hope you'll enjoy what we have to offer.
