The Sprinter is a fairly cheap Bulk Cruiser.

Its main purpose is speed and for the most it can fend off disorganised pirates and even out run the slower moving escorts.

The class relies on a fairly competent DC crew and should be never left alone in a fight.

Like most BCs it keeps within the rules of limited armour and defensive abilities. However, this has not prevented them being converted into Fighter transporters.

Other Bulk Cruisers may be slower and slightly more rugged but often do so at the sake of speed.
